Voices of Unity Choir competed in two categories at the 6th World Choir Games in Shaoxing China: Popular Choral Music & Gospel and Spiritual.
In the Popular Choral Music Category VOU earned enough points to win the gold medal...more than one can be given as it is based on points. VOU actually took runner-up over-all meaning VOU is considered the #2 Popular Music Choir in the world!
In the Gospel and Spiritual category, VOU took a gold medal based upon points.... however VOU earned the most points in that category making VOU the #1 and the GRAND CHAMPION. VOU won a gold medal AND a trophy for that category making VOU the #1 Soulful Choral Youth Choir in the world!
